General
4DeepWaves is a dedicated marketplace for underground dance music — techno, house, minimal, and beyond. We connect artists and labels directly with fans and DJs, offering high-quality downloads, sample packs, event listings, and editorial content all in one place.
DeepWaves is built for three groups: artists and labels who want to sell and promote their music; DJs and record pool members who need early access to new releases; and listeners who want to discover and support underground music before it hits the mainstream.
Browsing, streaming previews, and exploring the platform is completely free. Purchasing downloads, accessing record pools, and selling music requires an account. Artists can sell on the free plan, though upgrading to Pro or Label unlocks higher revenue shares and additional features.
Our focus is underground dance music — techno, house, deep house, minimal, acid, electro, drum & bass, ambient, and related subgenres. We intentionally stay niche to serve the underground community rather than trying to be everything to everyone.
Buying Music
5Most releases are available in WAV (lossless, 16-bit or 24-bit) and MP3 (320kbps). The available formats are listed on each release and track detail page. Some artists also offer AIFF or FLAC depending on their upload settings.
Yes — every track has a 60-second preview available without an account. The mini-player at the bottom of the page lets you queue up previews as you browse.
All your purchases are saved in My Downloads, accessible from your account menu. You can re-download any purchase at any time — there are no download limits on files you've bought.
Both options are available. Artists can enable per-track pricing, full-release pricing, or both. Where individual track purchasing is enabled, you'll see a price on each track row in the release detail page.
Yes — the Sample Packs section features curated bundle deals where you can save by purchasing multiple packs together. You can also build a custom bundle from any combination of packs using the Custom Bundle tool.
Selling & Artists
6Sign up for an artist account via the Artist Signup page. Once approved, you can upload releases through your Artist Dashboard. You'll need to complete your profile and connect a payout method before your first sale.
Free plan artists keep 60% of every sale. Pro plan artists keep 85%. Label plan artists keep 90%. There are no hidden fees — the platform fee is the only deduction. Weekly payouts are free; instant payouts are available for a small flat fee.
Yes, completely. You set the price for each release and individual tracks. You can also offer free downloads, name-your-price options, or pre-orders with early-bird pricing.
All releases go through a brief moderation review to ensure they meet our content and quality guidelines. Most releases are approved within 24–48 hours. You'll receive a notification when your release goes live.
Yes — Pro and Label plan artists can schedule releases for a future date and time. This is managed through the Release Schedule section of your Artist Dashboard.
Artists can upload stems for their tracks and set licensing terms and prices. Buyers can request stems through the Stem Marketplace. Once a license is agreed upon, the stems are delivered and a contract is generated automatically.
Subscriptions & Plans
5We offer three paid tiers: Pro (for independent artists), Promoter (for event promoters and DJs), and Label (for labels managing multiple artists). Each plan unlocks different features and higher revenue shares. Full plan details are on the Subscriptions page.
Yes — all paid plans include a free trial period. You won't be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel at any time before that.
You can cancel anytime from the Manage Plan section of your Artist Dashboard. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period — you won't lose access immediately.
If a payment fails, your account enters a grace period. You'll receive an email with instructions to update your payment method. Stripe will automatically retry the charge. If the issue isn't resolved, your plan may be downgraded to free. You can update your card at any time via the Stripe portal in your Manage Plan page.
Yes — promo codes can be applied during checkout on the Subscriptions page. Codes are case-insensitive and apply to the first billing period. Referral credits are also available through the Refer a Friend program.
Record Pools
3A record pool is a curated collection of new releases made available to DJs and music professionals before public release. Pool members get early access to tracks, often in advance of the official release date.
Browse available pools on the Record Pools page and submit a request to join. Pool curators review applications and approve members based on their criteria (DJ status, genre focus, etc.).
Each pool has a limited number of slots. Slots are allocated monthly. If a pool is full, you can join the waitlist. Pool access is renewed monthly — inactive members may lose their slot to make room for active DJs.
Events
3Yes — any artist, promoter, or venue can submit an event via the Submit Event page. Events go through a brief moderation review before going live. Promoter plan subscribers get priority listing and additional promotional tools.
Yes — events can have ticketing enabled directly on the platform. Attendees can purchase tickets and receive confirmation emails. Promoters manage attendee lists and check-in through the My Events dashboard.
Yes — the Event Series feature lets you group recurring events (weekly nights, monthly parties, etc.) under a single series page, making it easy for fans to follow and attend regularly.
Account & Privacy
4Go to your account settings and select "Change Password". You'll receive a password reset email. If you signed up via a social login, you may need to set a password first.
Your single DeepWaves account covers both. Once you complete artist signup and are approved, your account gains artist capabilities while retaining all listener features.
You can customize exactly which notifications you receive from the Notification Settings page — new releases from followed artists, event reminders, payout confirmations, and more. Email and in-app notifications can be toggled independently.
Every release, artist profile, and event page has a Report button. Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours. For urgent issues, contact us directly via the Contact page.
